Education's Many Faces

As a distraction to the terrible catastrophe that has hit my community and many of my close friends I have decided to start this blog while I do my best to help those in need. God has led me to also encourage any people who are not only educators, but also parents who may be struggling with the daunting task of raising children. As a parent of two young adults I have tried my best to raise children who are not just learners, but also thinkers. They are people who know how to think outside the box of learning that most people see. For example, when it comes to education, what do you think the best setting is for learning? Does learning always have to come within a public school classroom? When does learning begin for any child? Nowadays, many parents believe they must leave all of their child's education up to a professional teacher when even professional teachers know that ultimately, the ability of a child to excel within their learning abilities is dependent upon parental support. I would like to start an informative discussion about the various forms of education, such as public school versus private school, classrooms versus tutoring/homeschooling, or even public schools versus charter schools.
